- Fold over one side of your wrap and peel the backing paper away from the vinyl about 1/3 of the length of your board careful not to pop up your Center Hinge
- Take your provided blade and make a clean straight cut to the backing paper
STEP 6
LAYING VINYL PT1

LAYING VINYL PT2
- Working from the center out, push your squeegee to the edge, keeping a 50% overlap between strokes all the way to the end
- Remove Center Hinge and repeat on the other side
STEP 8
EDGES/TRIMMING
- Run your finger around the edge of your board, forming a hard visible line that you will trim against
- Using a 1/2 inch of blade, start your cut on a flat area at a shallow angle, following your hard edge around your board
- Cut out your mounting holes for your bindings
- Do not leave any excess trim that could get caught in the threads of your mounting screws
STEP 9
POST HEATING
- Taking your heat source, apply a slow constant moving heat along the edges of your board
- Heating should take 3-5 minutes to complete, vinyl should be hot to the touch
Please be patient while heating, it is crucial that the edges are heated properly if you wish to enjoy the lifespan of your new wrap
STEP 10
REASSEMBLY
- Carefully reposition your bindings back into their original place and mount firmly
- Apply new stomp pad or decals
TROUBLESHOOTING
-
WRINKLES
Any wrinkle you may encounter can easily be removed by lifting the vinyl back and reapplying your squeegee.
You can use a touch of heat to reform the vinyl to get the wrinkle out if it still remains.
-
BUBBLES
Bubbles can be removed by poking a small hole at the edge of your bubble and using your squeegee to release the air out from the hole.
-
TRIMMING
Make sure to cut off all overhanging edges, keeping a smooth consistent cut line along your boards edge. Any lifted edge could result in moisture getting underneath and will cause the vinyl to lift and tear over time.
